Meet Mrs. Rutkiewicz

My name is Mrs. Bernadette Rutkiewicz and I am the music teacher at Walsh School. This is my second year in District 92. As you can see in the above pictures, I enjoy participating in all of the activities here at school.

We have so much fun! We sing, dance, play instruments and even play games together.

My husband and I live in Tinley Park with our son who is a freshman at Western Illinois University. I like to participate in community service projects and I have been active as a Boy Scout leader for the past 12 years. I followed my son from a Wolf Cub Scout all the way to Eagle Scout and beyond!

I have my undergraduate degree in Music Education from De Paul University and have been teaching elementary level general music for about 9 years. I trained to be a band director, and I am able play approximately ten instruments. I enjoy passing on my love of music to all my students!
